Spinal Correction
Manual Adjustment
Most chiropractor employ various forms or techniques of manual (hands on adjusting) The purpose of most spinal adjustments is to restore normal motion to spinal joints. A healthy, function spine allows freedom of movement with pain or stiffness and more importantly allows your nervous system to function free to nerve interference. When your nervous system is functioning 100%, every cell tissue, organ and system of your body will be functioning optimally. Maintaining a healthy spine through chiropractic adjustments cans also help to prevent osteoarthritis or degenerative joint disease.
Pro Adjustor
The Pro-Adjuster is the most advanced Chiropractic evaluation and treatment equipment in existence today!
The Pro-Adjuster’s evaluation system uses technology to determine the cause of your problem. In fact, it is the same technology that allows aerospace engineers to determine if heat tiles are holding their proper position when a spacecraft re-enters the Earth’s atmosphere. This evaluation allows the doctor to see exactly what vertebra is out of alignment. While you are being evaluated, you can see your current condition displayed on the instrument’s computerized monitor.
The treatment is exact and completely painless. The adjusting instrument will determine the best adjustment mode for your specific condition. You can also see the results of your adjustment immediately following your treatment. Treatment with the Pro-Adjuster is effortless and painless.
Atlas Correction
The atlas orthogonist (or thog' ah nist) is a doctor in the field of Chiropractic, with training in the structure, function and bio-mechanics of the upper cervical spine. The treatment focuses on the first vertebrae in the neck, at the brainstem, through which most of the nerve impulses connecting the brain with the rest of the body travel.
The neck has always been a
focus area of chiropractic because proper balance and alignment of this area affects so much of the body. The treatments are gentler for patients and are made with a percussion type instrument which releases an energy wave to align the spine. This energy wave places the atlas in an orthogonal position, (which is a Greek word for level), with the patient feeling no discomfort. This profoundly effective technique requires postgraduate training. The atlas orthogonist methods employ such light touches to the affected area , that patients sometimes find it hard to believe that anything effective has been accomplished. Their doubts and fears disappear as quickly as their pain and discomfort. The atlas orthogonist works in a way which speeds and encourages the body’s own healing process. The doctor aids that process by gently adjusting the cervical vertebrae back toward normal alignment, thus helping the entire body.
Cold Laser Therapy
Therapeutic Laser Effects
Rapid Cell Growth - Laser light accelerates cellular reproduction and growth.
Faster Wound Healing - Laser light stimulates fibroblast development and accelerates collagen synthesis in damaged tissue.
Increased Metabolic Activity - Higher outputs of specific enzymes, greater oxygen and food particle loads for blood cells and thus greater production of the basic food source for cells, Adenosine Tri-Phosphate (ATP).
Reduced Fibrous Tissue Formation - Laser light reduces the formation of scar tissue following tissue damage from: cuts, scratches, burns or post surgery.
Anti-Inflammatory Action - Laser light reduces swelling caused by bruising or inflammation of joints to give enhanced joint mobility.
Increased Vascular Activity - Laser light induces temporary vasodilatation increasing blood flow to damaged areas.
Stimulated Nerve Function - Slow recovery of nerve function in damaged tissue can result in "dead" limbs or numb areas. Laser light speeds the process of nerve cell reconnection to bring the numb areas back to life.
Traction
Did you know that when visualized from the side you neck should have a smooth forward curve? Did you know that a loss of curve, total loss of curve or a reversed curve has a significantly high correlation with chronic neck pain, headaches and degenerative joint disease (osteo-arthritis)?
The cervical traction we offer in our office works to restore the normal cervical curve or attempts to restore as much curve as possible for each individual.
